AUSTRALIAN TRIPLE CROWN 2007
Australian International Open.

Ireland's Ian Farrelly and Liz Quinn have won the mens and ladies Australian Open respectively.

Both players headed to the final round with a comfortable lead and neither was threatened over the last 18 holes.
Farrelly finished 32 under par for the 72 holes, eight strokes ahead of fellow Irishman, Alan Hanlon and Australia's James Rogerson managed to snatch 3rd place from James Carroll.

In the Ladies, Liz Quinn finished 9 under par, nine strokes ahead of Holland's Esther Newsum with Australia's Sandra Hutchison in 3rd place.

In B division, local player, Tim Terrell won on a countback from Morrie Daley with Peter O'Dare a stroke back in 3rd place, whilst in the Ladies B division Francoise Moreau of France took the honours ahead of June Cullen and Michele Hudson.
The Ladies C division championship was won by local Mary Hussey with Nathalie Goujon of France 2nd and Brigid Malley 3rd.

The Australian Triple Crown has concluded with no player taking out all three events to win the elusive Triple Crown.
