Australia's Richest Pitch and Putt competition...
Three National Championships in one ...
over $15,000 worth of gifts and prizes...
and the rarest of trophies - the Triple Crown.
THE TROPHY Hand crafted by  Canberra sculptor Ralf Zibar, the iron and glass trophy symbolises the power, dignity and excitement of the Triple Crown.

The three legs represent each of the legs of the event, the twisted shaft represents the struggle to attain greatness and the glass ball sits powerfully astride the Trophy, triumphant in its glorious victory.
The Trophy will only be held aloft by a man or woman who has mastery over three different courses under very different conditions and will have shown strength of mind and body as well as exacting skill to defeat all who challenged them.
The Australian Triple Crown awaits all combatants... the Ultimate Challenge, for the ultimate athlete.

1st International TEST match under lights.

After some intense international diplomacy at Terrey Hills,it was decided to increase the size of the two teams to eleven players, including the non playing captains.
With Australian players wearing gold shirts and the Rest of the World in black, the two sides stepped out on a perfect balmy summers night to do battle.
The Australians, led by veteran Arthur Jelly, fought bravely but were down in all but one of the matches at the halfway point, with only local greenkeeper, Paul Watts in front.
Rogerson fought well to square with Ian Farrelly, but Underwood lost 3 and 1 and Drury lost 2 and 1 in the other early results.
Judge and Quinn had comfortable victories over their Aussie rivals whilst Frenchman Rene Moreau snatched an exciting win over Australia's Bosley.

Paul Watts became the local hero with a strong 8 and 7 win and Morrie Daley from Adelaide fought back to square his match. Stewart Genge also came from behind to square his match.
Then Anto Gray and Alan Hanlon came home with strong 4 and 3 wins in favour of the visitors who celebrated a 2.5- 8.5 win over Australia.

All the players thoroughly loved being part of such a unique and historic occasion and there was a great sense of excitement.

APPA congratulates the Rest of the World team - on this historic evening on Australian soil, Pitch and Putt was the winner!
